DISPATCHER

Lee Ogle Transportation System is currently looking to hire a Dispatcher to provide great customer service to our riders, schedule rides and collaborate with our drivers. Hours for this position are: 8:30am to 5:00pm (Monday-Friday). Deadline to apply is Friday, April 27th.

General Responsibilities

It is recognized that Lee-Ogle Transportation System operates at a TEAM. Although this position identifies specific duties, there are no tasks that excuse responsibility of any individual. This position requires a comprehensive knowledge of scheduling and dispatching transportation including inclusive understanding of the scheduling software and its capabilities; great communication skills and the ability to build working relationships with passengers and agencies; great telephone etiquette, ability to use a calculator, copy machine, fax and be computer-literate. This position requires understanding of the geographical service area. Particular attention should be paid to ways to improve the efficiencies of the transportation system and implementation. This position will include participation with Greyhound Bus Lines, Inc. as a local representative.

Qualifications

High School graduate or the equivalent; computer literate; ability to keep accurate records and proofread; ability to communicate and establish working relationships with co-workers and other agencies; strong interpersonal skills, maintain confidentiality of client information unless consent is obtained for purpose of referral; good telephone manners; ability to multitask; proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); bi-lingual is a plus. DRIVER

Lee Ogle Transportation System is currently looking to hire part-time Drivers for the public transportation system.  Deadline to apply is Friday, April 27th.

General Responsibilities

It is recognized that Lee-Ogle Transportation System operates at a TEAM. Although this position identifies specific duties, there are no tasks that excuse responsibility of any individual.  Drivers must have a valid driver’s license, be at least 21 years of age, operate the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, provide excellent customer service with a focus on the riders of LOTS. Experience in operating lifts and ramps is preferred. Drivers are required to maintain accurate records regarding their trips. They will need to respond to accident or medical emergencies by notifying emergency response providers and rendering First Aid until emergency personnel arrives.

Qualifications

Ability to drive a multi-passenger vehicle safely and appropriately, including the ability to read and interpret road signs and maps; adhere to the rules and regulations of the Federal Transit Administration and the United States Department of Transportation. The ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. The ability to prepare concise and accurate reports. The ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs. The ability to administer First Aid and CPR. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently; and /or 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects, and pass the company physical exam. See full Driver Job Description.
